We are pleased to announce the release of the new Solar Energetic Particle (SEP) event catalogue based on observations from ESA/NASA’s Solar Orbiter mission. The catalogue is now openly available through Zenodo and provides the scientific community with a valuable resource for the study of SEP events during Solar Cycle 25.
The catalogue includes detailed observations of SEP events detected by Solar Orbiter for both electrons (E>1 MeV) and protons (E ~ 8, 25 & 50 MeV), supporting research on particle acceleration, propagation, and space weather impacts throughout the inner heliosphere. By combining high-quality in situ measurements with advanced event identification and remote sensing observations, the catalogue contributes to a better understanding of the Sun–heliosphere connection and the dynamics of energetic particle events.
This new release represents an important milestone for the project and highlights the ongoing efforts of the consortium and collaborating institutions to provide accessible, high-quality scientific data products to the wider heliophysics community.
The catalogue is publicly available on Zenodo: https://zenodo.org/records/20267750
We invite researchers, students, and stakeholders in the space weather community to explore and use the dataset in future scientific studies and applications.
