Workshop #1 of the SPEARHEAD project was organized from 11-13 June 2024. The first day was devoted to the monitoring of the project. It started with a Consortium Board (CB) meeting, followed by detailed presentations per Work Package (WP) provided by each WP leader. Each presentation was followed by fruitful discussions, resulting into planning for the upcoming steps of implementation of the project. The second day started with a morning block of discussions concentrated on the upcoming deliverables. Following that, multiple scientific talks related to the open Scientific Questions and the Technical Objectives of SPEARHEAD took place. These continued on the third day as well. For the closure of the meeting a summary of the planning for the next steps and the specific actions related to them, took place.
This was the first face-to-face meeting of the Consortium and was scheduled to take place at the end of the Preparatory phase. It brought together the Consortium, the External Advisory Committee and selected experts of the field who presented and discussed the project’s goals, plans, first results and future steps. This was organized as a hybrid event providing a virtual branch.
